Augusta Track Pictures
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These are some Ruff Draft pictures of the track after putting some clay down. We are still trying to get it better. Some area's will need tweaking and or changed. but it will be right before the GCS race. We added 8' to pit lane We built a scoring booth just for JP and T Bone Steak We added lighting under the drivers stand and Pit lane We have wider track lanes We have real Restooms ( no porta potty ) Baseball field style Track lights A/C power ( limited ) Shaded Pit area Plenty of trailer parking Camping is allowed And a bunch of fun guys to be around http://s987.photobucket.com/albums/ae360/dcb3628/ Last edited by dcb3628; 04-17-2010 at 08:53 PM. I posted this question in another GCS thread, but this one is where all the action is right now so I'll ask here too.
I see on the GCS webpage that there is a stock SCT (2wd) class and an open class. There is a long list of rules for the stock class, but I don't see anything about open. I assume then that anything goes in the open class (buggy tires, 1/8 scale ESC/motors, battery, etc...). Is that correct? I just got a new Hyper 10SC and don't want to waste any money on stuff that won't be legal. |

Wow, what a weekend. It was a blast. Track was insanely bumpy and challenging. I want to thank all the winners of their class despite not being able to finish that last mains because of the rain. JP and crew did a jam up job with announcing and getting the race run as much as they could before the major rains hit. A big shout out to all that helped me today, especially to Jimmy Shuman. (running 3 classes is VERY hard)
See you guys next race.

Augusta RC ( The Drivers Track ) Just as JP said, it will separate the Men from the Boys.
Thank you for coming, all the hard work was worth it. The GCS put Augusta RC on the Map D. |

gracious thanks to darren first and formost. you killed your self providing an awesome track to race on for us. also thanks to jp and tbone for running a great show. you guys almost got it all in. but either way i had a blast. thanks for all the guys showing up with a not so promising forcast. you all put on a show that keeps me asking myself do i have more fun racing or turn marsheling. i don't understand lazy turn marsheling or those that hate to do it. theres nothing more exciting than running out to flip someone and 2 or 3 jumping at you while you do it. gets my addrenilin going being up close watching you guys make passes back and forth rubbing fenders and tires. man it's awesome. can't wait to do it all again.
