Although it is not the only reason, the long race days certainly played a factor in me reducing my racing schedule and eventually taking an extended leave of absense.

Given the growth of the GCS as well as number of classes that are available today (I have no idea what classes the GCS is running this year)....would it make sense to adopt something like the Florida State series (not sure if that is the correct name)?? I believe they run two (2) qualifiers and a main as opposed to three (3). Wouldn't this shorten the race day and maybe allow for additional classes??

Track time, track time, track time, the more the better. (IMO)
I think the guys did a fantastic job flowing the races/quals. all day at Dalton.
If not for a few minor problems at VRP I think it would have been a much shorter day.
More races for the buck I say.
Can't wait till round 3!!!
See you guys soon.
Anybody else gonna make it over to the Bad Lands Spring Sting this weekend?

I'd have to say that eliminating the silent check-in made a HUGE difference in the first round and was a big part of why the day went quicker. Yes, there were less racers in Dalton than at VRP, but even so, deleting this from the program is a great move. 99% of the cars check without issue anyway, so for the one racer who forgot to plug in his transponder, he could get an extra minute to pull in and have his pit man plug it in, while only adding a single minute to the total time of the first round, as opposed to the 4-5 minutes we were adding PER HEAT with the silent check-in.

Brilliant change. Well done.
