Those look interesting.. any word on pricing?

Competition Heat Inc. is proud to introduce the .21 R/C racing engine heater. This technologically advanced R/C racing engine heater is the results of 40+ years racing experience by it's designers. The Competition Heat .21 engine heater offers some of the same technologies used by the aerospace industry, Formula 1, Indy car and NASCAR teams.

The Company. Competition Heat Inc. is excited to be part of the growing R/C racing community. Competition Heat's inception is a direct result of the economic down turn of late 2008. After being laid off from the racing industry (Nascar Nationwide Series) in Feb 2009, the founder/owner decided to R and D a concept used in the upper levels of motorsports. An avid R/C car racer himself since 1993, he's had the opportunity and priviledge of racing at tracks in southern California like The Ranch Pit Shop, M@M, and revelation.

The Competition Heat .21 racing engine heater is an idea that was conceived a few years ago and has been thoroughly tested with Superior results on .21 racing engines. Our goal is to provide our customers with a superior product and technology that will Maximize life and Performance of R/C racing engines.

The Competition Heat .21 engine heater is 110v 50 ac. Very efficient and effective at saturating critical internals. The heating element is widley used in both the aerospace and racing industry. It will heat your engine to 180 degrees f in about 10 minutes with an ambient temp of 68 degrees f. It will reach 200 in about 14 minutes.

The Cover. The cover was the most critical key component in the development of the heater, and as stated in another thread we hit it out of the park on this one. It had to serve many key functions for the heater to be a success with safety being the most important. The end user needed to be able to take the heater off the engine safely, and you can. Secondly, it needed to be a insulator to both engine and heater, and it is. This advanced material is both heat resistant and fireproof. The top of the heater also has an access hatch for the glow plug ignitor so you can fire the engine while the heater is in operation. The heater attaches to the engine head by securing it firmly using high temp velco sewn into the cover and gives it a really sharp, nice, clean look.

The power cord. We are having a custom power cord manufactured with built in ON/OFF switch. This will be a cool little feature for convienence. There is a quick connect/disconnect connector so you can quicky disconnect from power keeping the heater on the engine if needed. This will come in real handy when breaking in your new mills.

I believe our slogan truly represents our product "Championship by Design"

Big A turned 30 today,
I wrote a poem thats somewhat gay,
Try as he might, he cannot fight,
the fact that 40 is a short time away,
His heart is set on r/cs, although not affraid to spend time on his kn@@s,
begging for sponsorships you silly children,
taking care of all his r/c brethren,
Alan you're cool to all you friends,
enjoy your birthday to its very end!

Have a good one ALAN B. Happy birthday, you deserve it pal!

We are proud to announce are newest addition to our race team. The Speed Shop would like to welcome Xray's Ryan Lopez to the team! We will be keeping Ryan going strong this year with his cars and making sure his engines are in top shape. Ryan has strong results on the regional, national, and even on the world level, qualifying for the worlds in 08 and 2010, RC Pro series wins, and strong national finishes.

We have some other announcements coming that we are excited about as we build up the Speed Shop, our national team, and business in general.

What a fun event! They offered huge trophies, a $1000 guitar, lots of prizes, and some great racing with some of the biggest names in the business! The Speed Shop Crew and Customers did well with customers in the amain of pro and sportsman classes, finishing the long 45 minute mains without issue.

One thing we got the chance to discuss with some previous customers is our Speed Shop "ENGINE REBUILD and PINCH service. Mo Denton of Ohio had a engine done in October of last year and said he got 3 hard gallons on the service. Whitehouse Hobbies local Jackie Woodyard who finished 4th in the pro truggy amain got great results out of his pinch.

I personally decided to take a engine that had a lot of time on it and perform the same service I offer you guys and run it in the pro truggy amain. I'm very big on proving that our service is as good or better than any on the market so this would be a great test starting second on the grid behind Team Losi's Adam Drake.

So, some new bearings, a clean up and a quick measure of the internals and it seemed ready. I took out my BMR Engine tool, did a track side pinch, installed everything and was set for the main event. My engine ran like it was in it's prime for nearly one hour and still feels great. I was not able to chase down and match the speed of the Drake but ended up second with some fast laps.

The more I use the BMR tool and talk with guys like Adam Drake about why they prefer it, the better I feel about saying it's one of the best tools on the market, maybe even the best by design for serious racers looking to go fast.

We will have some pictures posted soon of the weekend!

Guys, a while back we mentioned some big news coming to the speed shop. Our goal has been to be the largest most recognized race prep shop in the world. Offering proffesional work to racers all over the world and giving the average guy a car that is problem free and ready to endure long races. We wanted our results to speak for us from customers and team drivers a like.

We offer sleeve resizing, kit builds, bearing replacement, tire mounting, wrap install, and anything that goes along with preparing for a race or event.

In his first outing with his Speed Shop prepared Losi 2.0b Mike Truhe took TQ and the win at RC PRO WEST on Saturday. Mike simply took his car out of the Speed Shop packed box, installed engine, and ran his car without worry.

We would like to Welcome Mike Truhe to the team along with Ryan Lopez of Xray and Dakotah Phend of Team Losi!

Hi guys,

At the Psycho Nitro Blast a fellow racer and friend passed away while racing at the event. His name was Leighton Dilliard and he leaves behind a son Chris who also races, a wife and a Daughter. He was one of the strong supporters behind the Trackseekers Club in Jackson Ms.

In effort to raise money for the family who was left with substantial expenses Team Losi along with Adam Drake and Mike Truhe will be offering up FACTORY RACE RIGS to a lucky winner.

Tickets will be available for $10 each. They will be sold online through paypal, at the Alabama Manf. Shootout, and finally at the Leighton Dilliard memorial event a few weeks after the AMS event.

The Speed Shop will soon have these one of a kind factory race rigs at the shop. We will post pics and details of each car online. The Cars will then be on display at the Alabama Manf. Shootout in the Speed Shop booth.

The Goal is to raise money for the family and offer two lucky people a o ne of a kind racing rig. Maybe you want to race it, maybe you want to have it on a shelf years down the road.

Dropped all the equipment this morning at 8am at the arena. Looked over everything and got my plans all fresh in the mind!

We will have tables and chairs set up under the awning for the first 30-45 racers. power is there and ready. I would have a 15-20 ext. cord and splitter though.

Remember..if your in a trailer, RV, etc you need to supply your own power.

No pitting inside the building, but we have a nice awning spot and also a covered area in the back that will hold a lot of racers as well.

I'll be out of touch via internet this week but if needed you can reach me by phone at 205 601 5578.

hey guys, not this weekend but next is a memorial race in Jackson Ms, for a fallen friend and racer. His name was Leighton Dilliard and his last race with us was at the PNB while racing the pro buggy class with the people he looked up to in the industry.

This event is to help raise money for his family and help get them in a better situation.

Track seekers is the track name and Leighton was one of the pioneers of that track. If it all possible lets try to get atleast a few of us over there.

I know things are tight and we just had a large event, but one day it could be one of us pass, and leave a family in a bad situation. During times like that is when your friends, family, peers, etc step up and help. See what you can do and if you need info email me at alanburton20@gmail.com

Hey guys,

The Speed Shop is going to offer a limited number of racers the chance to run on the Alabama Manf. Shootout Layout once again! Our plan is to get in the range of 20 racers together for one full day and hold a test and tune session. Our shop will provide the marshal and pit help for you. This would be more of a "class" where we help you on setups, tuning, driving lines, etc.

We would have the track as a group and get all the practice you could want. All you need to bring is your stuff ready to go!

This will be a saturday class/practice session. Starting at 7am and going to 8pm. We will have lights and ventilation going.

We are going to try to do this twice between now and september. The max number will be 20 racers per date.

If your interested in getting in on the list for the first date let me know asap. We have about 12 spots left. You can email me through the website:

The Speed Shop(Birmingham, Alabama)

or direct:

Thanks!

Hello guys,

On July 10th 2010 from 7am to 8pm we will run a test and tune session for up to 20 racers at the Cullman Ag Center. This is setup primarily to help racers with driving lines, tuning, setup, and other things that go with putting up good race results. With a small number of people we will have lots of good clean practice time on a national level race track. The facility is the same one(same track) that held the Alabama Manf/ Shootout just a few weeks ago. Cost is $75($77.50 if using paypal) and that includes a lunch and help with the above mentioned from the Speed Shop. The cost also goes to cover the rental of the building, lights, and ventilation. With this format there will be no rush, no race pressure, no weather worries, and lots of track time for a small group of racers.

We will get a lot of track time and hopefully each of you will leave and have a better understanding of how to go faster and be better prepared. With that said you will only be as good as the equipment you have. So your equipment will need to be ready for a full race day. Have some new tires ready and lets have some fun!

This is my personal area in my shop. This is my truck and buggy that was shipped to the nationals, mikes truggy getting built and Dakotah Phends buggy(without body on it) that was sent to him for the nationals as well. Along with getting all those ready I had to glue up the 40 sets of tires that are in the boxes in the corner. It gets crazy and last night I think I had a dream about a buggy being ready or not???? lol..

Hey guys,

I'll be getting the track ready and it will be ready at 7am for us in
the morning. Have your buggies ready for a long day of running! You
should only need a table and chair and you can get under the awning/or
pull your trailer under the awning.

We are going to order lunch in around 12pm and most likely get some
pizza and drinks. We will work out who wants what in the am.

When we arrive, you guys get setup. We will work on getting everyone
tuned in and ready for warm up on the track. I want everyone to get a
lot of run time. We are going to work on driving lines, jumping, setup
questions, engine tuning, and tire selection. I'll be helping each
person throughout the day on the stand, etc. Make sure if you have a
question to ask!

Cost is $75 and includes lunch, it's also limited to 20 people..we have a few spots left.

See you guys soon! Bring your buggy ready and some extra tires:)

This past Saturday the speed shop offered a full day of practice on a national caliber track for a group of 20 racers, on a track/facility that was previously used for the Alabama Manf. Shootout. The Speed Shop offered racing tips and driving lessons for racers of all skill sets. It was a great day and a great success! Racers came in from all over the southeast, and we nearly met our group limit of 20 for this class. It was nice to get quality practice in on a prepared indoor facility of this size and caliber! We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Speed Shop's "Racing 101" class and we hope to see everyone at the Alabama Indoor Shootout this coming October in Cullman Alabama! One thing I do want to let you guys know about is my new facility.Together with the city of Helena and a group of racers it is going to happen! It is located about 3 minutes from my shop and will be a year round indoor racing facility for electric and nitro classes. I am excited about this. I will use this for engine testing, car break ins, and set ups. This will also be used for racers looking to come and learn different aspects of racing. So if your looking to better your racing come down and check it out.

The last bit of news will come later this week....so stay tuned. If anyone has any questions please email me at alanburton20@gmail.com

Guys, The Speed Shop now has a indoor off road racing facility. The Warehouse will be a year round electric/nitro facility and was built in hopes of creating healthy racing again in Alabama/and the region, along with being able to test, tune, and run in engines and cars that come in to our shop. The Warehouse is located less than 1 mile from the Speed Shop. Grand Opening event is sold out but will be Jan. 8 2011.

We will also be offering RC Boot Camp. This is a chance for a racer to come down and get some private practice and have us help you with setups, driving, etc. This will be indoor so no rain outs or dusty unprepared track. Email me at alanburton20@gmail.com for details

Our second club event is gaining ground and will be a electric and nitro event. So far we have 20 paid entries and 55 spots open. If you want some great racing action get signed up at http://tracks.rcsignup.com/events/displayEvent.cfm?ID=1750

We also have the Electric only "Indoor Super Regionals" coming up in Feb. We will have a 100 entry limit on this event. You can register @ http://tracks.rcsignup.com/events/displayEvent.cfm?ID=1739

First we usually start with a car/truck like this on the bench. This car came straight from Las Vegas's Silver State Challenge. A week long, hard on equipment event that has a lot of loose desert sand. So this is how it all starts for you the customer.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_12-36-51_390.jpg
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_12-37-02_507.jpg

From the above pictures we take the car and give it a "general" cleaning. Blowing, brushing and getting the bulk of the dirt off before starting the prep. The Shop will then take the engine, tank, pipe, and radio tray off of the car. Since we go so far into the car we then give it a Speed Shop bath. This way we have a clean car to work with. At this point this is what it looks like.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_13-03-27_650.jpg

In the next step we take the car apart in sections. You will notice that we do things in steps. This helps us have minimal parts on the table, only working on one area at a time. It keeps the work benches more organized and easier to focus on one section.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_13-16-31_184.jpg

It really does not matter what section you start with, however I always teach my mechanics at the shop to start with the center diff and work out. So here you will see it coming back together. We broke down the center diff and inspected all pins, gears, gaskets. We installed new o-rings, fresh 5k diff oil, cleaned brake disc and re-assembled. We also take this step to inspect the fuel tank, clean and install. Now we have this out of the way.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_14-09-52_417.jpg

Now we move on to the Engine(if customer sends). This is how the engines look after a event and should not be over looked. With our basic prep service we take off the flywheel, filter, bell, and just inspect everything and give the engine a cleaning. We also clean filter or install new one and then install this section on the car. Next Step is the radio tray inspection/install.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_14-32-58_672.jpg

ABURTON
04-22-2011, 01:36 PM
Now we start with the radio tray and once finished this will complete our "center" section. This has all of the sections on the car and off the bench, furthermore off our check list. We also give the radio tray a general cleaning, looking into everything to look for potential issues with pinched wires or loose connections. We will also get all the debris from inside out as this helps keep the covering on the battery. The dirt acts like sandpaper and can quickly wear through your battery covering and into the battery/connections.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_15-04-24_887.jpg
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_15-10-58_724.jpg

On this tray we installed a new switch and antenna tube. On this model I do not use a switch rubber cover as I feel it does not work well with the design and may not allow it to fully be locked on the "on" position.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_15-44-48_822.jpg

Here is this work bench at this stage of the prep. Everything clean and organized. It helps things go better for anyone but also allows us to be more thorough and organized.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_15-44-39_888.jpg

Now we move on to the rear end section of the car. Remember we have already cleaned this prior to the start so it's fresh and clean to start with. We then take it down to inspect everything from the hinge pins, arms, inserts, to the internal diff gears. On this car we replaced the bearings and inserts as everything else looked great. We also went with 3k rear diff fluid and replaced the diff o-rings. After a little extra polishing on the hinge pins, reaming out the arm holes to get the build up out we started going back together with it. This is a step we use to check the rear diff mesh and lube the ring/pinion gears.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_17-06-38_968.jpg

ABURTON
04-22-2011, 01:58 PM
Now we are nearing the completion of the main part of the car. In this case it is a Serpent Cobra 811. Now that the rear is done we start on the front of the car. Just like the rear this is already somewhat clean and looks like this
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_18-48-13_33.jpg

We also tear this down and inspect everything. We look for areas that may have took a hard hit on the arms, cracks, bent hinge pins, or really worn parts. In this step we go over all of this and once back together we make sure everything is free with zero binding. On the front end we replaced bearings and hinge pin holder inserts. The Serpent plastics are probably some of the best so although this car has a few gallons on it everything else looked good. We replaced the diff fluid with 5k, new o-rings, and checked the mesh as this is very important if you wish to finish hard races! Back together it goes onto the chassis. Now we have the main part of the car done and out of the way. At this point everything has been cleaned of any grease, extra dirt, and the "Speed Shine" on it!
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-12_20-34-49_1841.jpg

At this point we have replaced anything needing replaced, and had a hand on every screw on the car. Anything metal to metal is loc-tited and the suspension is free, and differentials have been rebuilt, greased, and shimmed. The car has a new clutch, new bearings, new plug, fuel line, and is almost ready for the track again! The pipe started off life after the event really dirty with lots of build up, after coming back from a half of a day at the "pot" it looked like new and was installed:)
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-13_14-13-49_444.jpg

Now it's time for some shock work. In some cases we have to do a full rebuild. Replacing boots, o-rings, etc. On this particular set we just cleaned and installed fresh oil and the new serpent webbed bladders.
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-13_14-17-11_944.jpg

We have a lot of these containers in the shop modified for shock use. It allows us to have a place to dump oil(we easily fill a few of these in a month) and to have something to hold shock sets. This set got 40wt in the front and 30wt in the rear.http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Alan_Burton/2011-04-13_14-23-37_323.jpg

ABURTON
04-22-2011, 02:08 PM
Now we are pretty much wrapping up the check list and the car. After the shock build we install the shocks on the car and give the car another check over to make sure we covered all the bases. At this point everything is cleaned and looking like new for the customer. from this point we will set the toe, camber, droop, and ride height to make sure the car is as "track ready" as possible when getting back to the customer. We do our best to cover everything on the car and to let you know what needs to be replaced. From that point it's up to you how much gets replaced. Our Speed Shop "Prep Service" is $70 plus any parts needed. We hope this gives you a idea of what goes into the car. With years of race level experience behind me and a lot of great people helping me along the way this is what I feel it takes to have fun and to finish your races. It helps to just show up and know that your car is built properly and just focus on learning to drive!

Corey and I arrived in Fredericksberg Virginia at Awesome Raceway and Hobbies! Dwayne has a great track and a very cool shop stocked up for the racers. It's going to be a fun week working with 50 racers helping them learn a little more about racing, driving, setups, and so on!

The drive was amazing. Some really cool stuff and views. We are about to go out to eat with the shop guys and come back and get some sleep. Thursday we are going to layout how the class will go each day and do some wrenching on our personal cars.

I have a few pics so far of the drive up....

A good 9 hour drive to here. Headed to the Speed Shop in the morning to get back going. We brought back several cars to prep and had a great time. Here is a video of the awesome hobbies layout that we did the Speed Shop class on. This is on sunday(100 entries), you can see the markings we did for the class on the track to help with lines and such.

Thanks to Allen for the video!!!

Speed Shop Boot Camp will be heading to Full Throttle R/C Raceway on July 7-10th to have some more fun and help more racers! Stay tuned for more info but to get signed up just go to the website and get with the guys at Full Throttle!

We had a great time at Awesome Hobbies and Raceway, I think the full field of drivers left with a better concept of racing, setup, driving lines, etc. The guys at awesome were great to work with and I look forward to seeing them soon

Hey guys,

A customer mailed me in a new partially assembled Mugen Mbx-5 truck kit. this kit is going to be given to a personal friend of his who just lost his daughter and everything else in a fire. I have put a new engine with it but I would like to send this thing back ready to rock.

Here is a couple things I need if anyone would like to donate this for a great cause. It can be new or used.

Two servos for 1/8 use, Mugen mbx-5 body, 5 cell hump pack for rx, pipe/header.

This will go on to this truck and hopefully will help the guy to have a bit of fun during hard times.

Please email me direct at alanburton20@gmail.com if you have any of this.

Thanks again guys!

The Weekends went great for the Speed Shop. In the pro buggy class I was able to qualify well(2nd) and lead 43 minutes of the 45 minute Amain and getting the 2nd place finish after being passed by teammate Andrew Smolnik. It's a true test to prepare a car to last at race pace for a 45 minute main and I was happy with the turnout.

David Watson made the podium in two classes with his Speed Shop prepped cars. Running the Serpent Cobra Buggy and a Losi 4x4 SC truck. After losing clutch bearings on the first lap Blake and I was able to get him back out and only losing 9 laps, working his way back to a 4th place finish.

Brett Paschal ran the Sportsman Truggy and Buggy classes, along with the 4x4 SC classes. Brett Finished his 30 minute mains and the weekend without issue, and getting a 1,2,and 3rd place finishes!

Congrats to these guys and thanks for supporting us! Stay tuned for some new Speed Shop news!

Kinda outside the box, but the last couple years I have been helping racers try to get faster and learn how to race better. About a year ago I moved the Speed Shop to a big Warehouse and opened a year round indoor track. One of the reasons was to be able to do "in house" classes. Sometimes I do groups, sometimes just one person. Here is something I do to help racers get the correct lines down on a layout. You may be able to talk with your local track and get one of the faster guys to lay down these lines for you.

This kid is 10-11 years old and has raced about 3 times. But you can see how that it shows up if you do go to fast and blow a line. It's really fun and a challenge but it's a direction I want to go when I don't have the desire to compete

This year has been very good for me running the Go Engines. The engines are lasting a long time and without issue. Suggestions from testing have been emailed to the factory and it seems they are very committed to producing great engines.

I honestly will say the new Go Line up is a great balance of performance and Price. I would and do suggest to anyone. Recently I received a few engines to test from the Factory over the winter. These have a new carb and now have three needles. The crank is coated with what looks to be a more durable coating and the head button is a new coated aluminum/material.

Give Go credit. They have stuck with it and came from a very low level engine! These guys are putting out great quality now for a very good price!

I just got these so no time to really break down because we are leaving for a event but when I get back I will start breaking in and running. These have "engraved on them" "plus" so apparently when on the market these will be the GXII 5R Plus engines.

Here are a few pictures:

A little Speed Shop tip I have always used. I wrap the Reciever batteries in a hockey tape. This keeps them in good shape and the wires mostly protected from rubbing around. I can also make it a tighter fit. Seems to work better than foam by far.

Something we do on the Agama aluminum clutches. Note the one that has been ground down just a bit. This mod allows the spring to settle in further and not be affect the clutch action.

10,000 Winter Slam at Warehouse Raceway

Report by Jason Branham

January 6-8th I was able to attend the 10,000 Winter Slam at Alan Burton’s Warehouse Raceway and home of his well known Speed Shop. Alan has done a great job with his facility and even with the tight racing space he was able to build a challenging and fun lay out. Team Agama showed up in good numbers with me, my brother Brian Rickard, Alan Burton, Corey Johnson and Drew Cassidy in attendance.

During Friday practice, in which I was really looking forward to, my Agama was pretty solid the first time I got a chance to run on the track. It was also going to be my first chance to race the new Beta line of tires and wheels. It was clear that a small pin tire was going to be the ticket, so I choose to go with Beta Cubez in the super soft compound with the new dual stage inserts. Still though I was wanting more steering, so I decided to try the long ackerman and this really gave the car a lot of steering which helped increase corner speed not only in the 180’s but also the sweeper. Most of the team tried the ackerman and really liked the results as well.

In qualifying the Agama buggies showed great pace with Corey Johnson leading the way in the Pro buggy class qualifying 2nd with Brian Rickard qualifying 3rd and Drew Cassidy making it three Agama’s in the main qualifying 4th. In the Pay out Ebuggy class I was able to take the TQ position in the last round by setting the fastest run of the weekend clipping Max Flurer buy a couple of tenths and Billy Easton by just a second, not bad for my first time out with an Ebuggy. In the Payout Buggy class I TQ’ed the first round of qualifying and my time stood to claim TQ for the class followed by TLR/Arrow-Racing's Ryan Lopez in 2nd, Serpent’s Billy Easton 3rd, and Agama/Arrow-Racing's Corey Johnson 4th.

The Pro Buggy main was close all race long with the lead changing hands countless times. The race between TLR/Bullitt driver Matt “Puddin” Sistrunk, Brian Rickard, and Drew Cassidy came down to the end with Drew Cassidy slipping by the battle with Sistrunk and Rickard to take the win followed closely by Brian Rickard 2nd and Matt Sistrunk not even a second behind in 3rd. Agama was able to take 1st and 2nd, great job!

The Payout Ebuggy main was a double A main format with each main 15 minutes in length. In A1 I got off to a terrible start missing the triple and landing off the track. This allowed Max and Billy to get away and I spent the first couple of minutes in the back of the pack. I was slowly working my way back to the lead pair when Billy lost a wheel which put him out of the race. With in the last minute of the race I had managed to catch Max but with another mistake by me he was able to take the win for A1. In A2 I got off to a better start but a couple minutes in I caught a pipe allowing Max and Billy to get by. Max drove a great main to stay out front and I caught Billy a couple of times but I was not able to get by. I would finish 3rd behind Max and Billy. With my overall time from A1 and A2 I finished 2nd overall for the event with the Agama and Beta Cubez.

In the Payout Buggy main we had three Agama’s again in this one with me as TQ, Corey Johnson qualifying 4th, and Alan Burton taking the bump spot from the B main. I got off to a great start and led for the first 5 or 6 minutes but with constant traffic because of the small track I made some costly mistakes trying to get by traffic. This allowed Billy Easton to get by to take the lead and now I was battling with Losi’s Ryan Lopez for 2nd. Ryan and I kept a close race until about the 20 minute mark when Ryan blew a plug which eventually ended his race and left me comfortably in 2nd. I was unable to catch up to Billy in the last few minutes so I would have to settle for 2nd but still it was another good outing for Agama and the new Beta line. Agama again would show well with me finishing 2nd, Alan Burton finishing 5th, and Corey Johnson finishing 7th.

This started out life as a kit located at www.absolutehobbyz.com in New Jersey. After doing some research online Danny S. gave us a call and started discussing what he wanted done. He purchased the kit from Absolute using a "speedshop" discount code and had the kit/parts drop shipped in direct to our shop. Danny also sent his radio and a few other things we would need to complete the kit.

Danny Works for one of the top racing shops in Nascar so time is very critical to him. He wanted the buggy back built and track ready. Needing nothing so we worked that out with him and did the following:

Full kit build and prep.

Engine and Electronics Install.

Radio/Epa Setup.

Toe/Ride Height/Camber Setup.

Mount tires.

Body mount.

Engine(used) Prep and Race Tune.

Track Test and Break in for Buggy.

Clean up/Ship.
