How about some sort of track mapping system. The states this site covers .Every track would have a save point location with track info and contact info..It would make looking to see where everyone is at at a glance .I know we can use google and others but why use something else when ya can do it here?

I can do that, I did one for the Caster Team. I will get that together and post it up, although it will be self serving, meaning I am not going to add them all, anyone will be able to, so if we all contribute it will be populated fast!

Ok here we go, it is a bit different than the one I did for Caster, this one is more detailed. Let me know if you like this, I will also fill out more of a description for this as I have time, but this gets us started.

This link needs a special place on the forum. Maybe the top thread under Track Listings.
It's a great idea. I added MadMaxx, I hope John doesn't mind.

I'm certain he's infuriated that more people can find his track now. What were you thinking?

Considering it took me 62 years to find it, he may want it to be a secret.

Alright guys lets put em up.I really think its gonna be a nice tool for us to be able to locate each other and give us an idea as to how far we are from each other.
The VRP link is not exactly accurately placed on the map

I started a track directory powerd by google maps over on www.alabamarcracers.com I use a cms system in the frontend of the site so i simply by using some modules in the the software plug in the long/lat of a address and it puts them on the map. Take Joomla,JFusion, and tie VBulletin together and you could do the same thing.

Yah, I would hold off on that one I posted. It is just ok. I am looking at google and some other custom code I want to implement. I am looking at what alaracers wrote too. I am familiar with Joomla (which I do not like) but not JFusion. I am going to expand RCSE, I am just formulating which direction overall.

Joomla is a breeze, opens a whole new door to possibilities. Next version of Joomla has long awaited features, i'm already testing it out. Jfusion is a compenent to joomla, check it out at jfusion.org . My PHPBB3 user database is the control user database and jfusion ties joomla and the forum together. Also has features to connect the site to ecommerce, gallery software etc... my biggest problem is too many free addons. You gota great forum here no doubt, it took me 2 months to get my site to the point it's at now and still adding things.
