New design will include:
Whoop section, Drop offs, Doubles, Quad, Berms, Rhythm Section, 6' Step up, Half Pipe and Ski Jump. Also a long straight with raised starter boxes for race starts.

Cookie used to pit for me until he went to buggy and he's good. I have YouTube video of him pitting me. With my fuel gun we were in and out of the pits (front of the ramp to the end) in under 5 seconds.

Can someone who races there let us know what tires work on the surface you guys have?

We try to keep the track damp. We have a sprinkler system and water between rounds if needed. The track does grove up. I have not had any word on Steve and Blake returning this year. We're getting rained/snowed on again up here in the B'ham area.

The track is very close. A couple of us tried out the jumps yesterday and it was awesome. The center line came out to 559' no bad spots and it flows great. the 6' step up and the ski-jump is a great addition. Less than a week before playtime and we are ready, Donnie has put together an awesome facility.

Well I didn't get any video on my phone today but the track is GREAT! I will try to get some video tomorrow if I have better luck. Got a lap and a half in before my shock tower and bulkhead broke. Thankfully I had the original tower from my RTR and zixxer had a bulkhead. Once I got to racing, I had a blast. Looking forward to getting whipped tomorrow! Lots of good drivers here.

Like I was telling Porter I am always a force to be wreckoned with the during qualifying and the first 6 mins of a main. Wow I knew I was aggressive but never realized I was that aggressive till watching this video. Sheewwww not a afraid to send it in! lol Not to shabby for my second race with that car.

Great racing everyone, great video and looking for more, especially in practice where I actually looked good!!!! And a HUGE THANK YOU to Donnie, Elliott, Tim and the rest of the Dothan guys for such a great event.

I will be waiting for the videos from practice. I ran some practice with you on friday, so I figure I might be in some videos. My name is Stephen and was the running the only Jammin buggy in the field. It was good to meet a bunch of you guys. I'll be seeing a lot of you in June @ the AMS.

I took some video with my iPhone 3GS and put a little highlight thing together. The first minute or so is closeup stuff and the second half is a long continuous clip from one of the buggy qualifiers. I didn't get as much video as I should but running 2 classes by myself took more time than I thought!

It's still processing so it might look better in a bit:

It's finally finished processing and looks much clearer. Now that I think about it, I think the long section of zixxer's 1st or 2nd qualifier. I will try to get more video next time I am down at the RC Pro race.

Video was edited on a Macbook using Final Cut Express. Making the video only took about 20-30 min. I didn't have much footage. :(

PART 3 BUGGY AMAIN

I meant to post my experience from the event:

We rolled in and set up in a great spot on Friday morning. The track was easy to find and looked to be in great shape to start. I got everything set and headed out to the track with my buggy. Since it's the first race since last November I took it real easy around the track but 1 1/2 laps in, I broke my front shock tower and bulkhead. Thought that I was done in buggy since I didn't have a spare bulkhead but Cookie hooked me up and I stuck my old RTR shock tower on and I was back in business.

Got a few tanks through on Friday getting a feel for the track, especially the step up. We got through the day and headed for the hotel.

The next morning we got there and got going again. My first qualifier (which turned out to be my best) was pretty good and made it through in buggy. My SC10 didn't finish the first qualifier because of a puffed LiPo.

Second qualifier went ok, but was 7 sec slower in buggy. The SC10 did better with a healthy battery. Qualifier 3 went even slower in buggy (I just didn't have good tires there I guess) and the right A arm broke on the SC10. Thought I was done in CORR but a couple of guys came through and I had it fixed until I turned the wheels and the ESC shorted out (I had no idea servos acted as generators. I don't know how turning the wheels could cause so much electricity to come through the line that it would smoke an ESC, but it did. Got offers to use another system, but decided I would focus on the buggy.

I started 6th in the B main and had a terrible start. Got through the first turn but someone flipped in front of me and I got collected in the wreck and came out 9th. About 3 min later I made the mistake that cost me any chance of placing better than I started (my goal since the guys in front of me were all faster than me). I came off the ski jump a little too far to the right and fell into the gap in the track. I call it the ditch becasue it's deep enough that my car wasn't visible to anyone and none of the marshals saw it. I was yelling to them that it was in the hole (my apologies to the guys next to me but I couldn't communicate it any other way). I wasn't upset with anyone but myself for missing the jump and the closest marshal was getting someone else and didn't see me fall in there. The first guy to run over there thought I said it went off the back but he finally saw it in the hole and rescued me. It was about a 30 sec loss. I say all that to say, don't fall in the hole, but if Donnie can fill it with dirt some so your car would still be visible from the ground if you land in there, it would be great! :D

I finished 6th, right were I started but the 4 guys behind me all had problems so I could have ran 11 laps and been 6th.

It was a great weekend and the track is great. I am looking forward to the RC Pro race in April-May.

Hey guys thanks for the awesome videos!!! It was a pleasure meeting everyone and having a fun weekend of racing. Thanks to everyone that helped me and dad on the track i think it turned out great. We had to fight with mother nature to get it done but with the help of alot of people we were able to get it done...Cant wait till the RC PRO race the track will be even better. Also we will fill the ditch with dirt..lol thanks for the imput.

Donnie and Elliot, I thought you guys did a good job of running the race! Other than a few early computer problems I think everything flowed pretty good! Wanted to thank you guys for your hard work of puting on this race! Us boys from the Snake Pit had a blast! Not sure if I will be able to make the pro series race or not but I will deffinatelty be back!

Big thanks to Porter and Jeff Martin for letting us bum off of their generators and a huge thanks to Mike Farmer for putting us up for the weekend! Thanks to you too Boggs for the help in the Truggy main!

It was good seeing everyone again and cant wait for the up coming season!
