Attention WIN racers........We, the ones involved in putting on the 2nd Annual Wiregrass Indoor Nationals want nothing more than to have a top notch race for the racers and for all sponsors. We have decided to postpone, NOT CANCEL the scheduled April 30-May 2, 2010 WIN race. We are working on several BIG things to make the 2nd Annual WIN race HUGE in turnouts and in sponsors. We feel that moving the dates to later in the year is the right decision. If you have any questions or comments you can email me at win@graceba.net or call me at 334-618-1684, Keith Seay.

Dates will be posted as soon as a few things are in writing. We do have several sponsors that are on board for this event, and this event will happen in 2010!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

Wiregrass Indoor Nationals

Great time! I was hoping someone would have an indoor event in August. Looking forward to it. If we signed up for the April race, will that carry over or will you have a new signup setup on RCSignup?

I know getting a date has been a real pain for you guys this year, but did you realize that thats the same weekend as the RC Pro East race in Aiken. (just throwing that out there)

Either way, we had a great time last year and will most likely do it again regardless of the date, but would like for you guys to get as big of a draw as possible.

We looked at different sites, schedules, etc. before we booked the new date, and nothing at that time was posted (atleast everywhere we looked) with the exception the Australian Truggy Nats in Sydney. At this point we are going to stick with this date and hope for the best. We are meeting this Sunday to finalize sponsorship packages, the format, rules, etc....so we will be announcing information about the 2010 WIN starting next week.

We appriciate everyones support last year, and we promise this year will be BIGGER AND BETTER!!!!

Thanks,

The problem is, most people want a google map address to get directions. When you type in that address, google doesn't seem to find it properly if using that map on the site as a comparison. Can you post a google map link?

Not having any luck. They sell only to distributors. I contacted one of their distributors and they sell to dealers. They are trying to find a dealer close to Alabama and send me a list. They think There are some in Tenn. I should know later today. Looks like I will have to get it shipped in.

I talked to Alan this morning and he said to talk to a guy out of South Carolina, that's where he got his pipe. If you will send Alan an email at alanburton20@gmail.com he will send you the guy's contact info. I looked him up on Google and there are 2 Max Davis' in SC, one in York ((803) 831-1399) and one in Myrtle Beach ((843) 916-8218), and I think it's the one in Myrtle Beach but you can email Alan to be sure.

For anyone that is looking for website design work, business cards, logo design work, banners, stickers, etc. this is the man you want to talk to. He also does wraps for trailers, trucks, suv's, real rock crawlers, phones, etc. Dan Dubose is the owner. Some that are into real rock crawling might know of him, because he use to build them for a lot of the Pro's when he owned Blue Torch Fabworks. The layout was good (Stickman designed) but like the others said, it was challenging.

Overall a very fun event and it was well ran. Just like every big race, there's room for improvement but there was some good and good people and that's what it's all about!

so how was the track? any videos cant wait to see what it was like ..wished i could a made it ..there is only one video up now and its 15 seconds long:(

Z, I have a couple of minutes of video where I walked the track after the race. It's very shaky from walking in the gullies :)

and a 15 sec video of Jared would be great because every 15 seconds he was on his lid :)

I"ve got to chime in, the track was a blow out but my hat is off to the few that would go with pratically no sleep to fix that track every night(Donnie,Elliott,2shay,Keith) Thank ya'll very much for the hard work.

btw, I was not complaining. It's off road racing, and this one just happened to be a little further off road than others :)

Good event, well run, and lots of good folks get a pat on the back. Working in dirt is always an adventure.

Not saying you was complaining, just wanted everyone to know that they did everything possible in that situation.

On liverc.com. You have go to view broadcast and click Wiregrass Indoor Nationals under events. The races are mixed in with last year's results so you will have to make sure the heading at the top of the results sheet you are viewing says 2010.

Had a great time this last weekend. Got to see and hang out with a bunch of good people. Got to witness the track re-construction every night. The crew was there very late, until just about 2:30 Saturday night/Sunday morning. And they were back before 7 the next morning.
The track did take the term off-road to a new extreme, but it was still fun, and definitely evened out the playing field. I ended up 3rd in Sportsman Buggy when it was over.

Carlton ran a great program, along with Donnie and Keith.

Thank you to all those that came out and supported the race this weekend. Big change from the usual blue groove! If I had known 3 inches under the clay was sand I would have trucked in clay. I was amazed that the rougher it got the faster some guys would go. It was amazing to watch. Congratulation to all the winners! Thanks to all the sponsors especially Sidewinder for their help. The track design by Traxxas was a huge success Joel Judkins designed an awesome layout. Special thanks to Tim Monday, Jason Strickland, Kyle Touchette, Ronnie Peacock and Elliott Glover for the hard work on the track. Thanks For the help with the loop Joe Horton.
Of course big thanks to Carlton Eppes (RC Pro Products/Alfa Engine) for running a great program. Keith and I both thank you all.

Photo and results will be posted on the web page later this week.

See you all next year with a clay blue groove track. Promise!
The sand worked me to death! LOL

Ha ha, it worked all of us. If they need it back I have about 2 gallons of it in my size 13 shoes still.

We would like to thank all that attended the 2010 Wiregrass Indoor Nationals. The track was defiantly out of the norm for most people. You defiantly had to work at finding a line that would work for you (if that was possible, lol). This was our first time at this facility and we had NO idea what we would have for a track foundation until we got to building it.
We appreciate everyone’s help that went into building this track and to the one’s that worked there butt’s off into the early hours of the morning’s trying to make the best of it. Carlton Eppes ran an awesome show and kept things flowing well through out the weekend.
I would like to thank ALL the sponsors that came aboard for this year’s event. I would also like to thank all the racers that came and supported this event.
If you did not make it this year you missed some AWESOME racing. There was A LOT of great battles throughout the weekend. Thanks to all that supported the Dale County 4H Club by buying some concessions from them. Thank you to Kombi Ice Cream for keeping a lot of people coooool during this Hot & Humid weekend.

Seayya at the track!!!!

I thank the track was a real offroad track, not some smooth highway that eats up tires. I ran the same tires for 3 days, that alone saved me a lot of money. I had fun & hope next year you don't haul all the clay in, this track made you drive. Thanks to all you guys that put this together.

I ran M3 Bow Ties on buggy and truggy with the outside lug cut off. I also tried Calibers and Revolvers, but found the round shape of the Bow Tie didn't catch the holes as bad.

I wanted to run a different tire on every corner of the buggy. Being right 1 out of 4 might have worked :)

What tires did you guys run?

I ended up running the VP Pro small pin tires (Turbo trax I think is the name) but wanted to run IBeam/Bowtie/Eclipse type tires but I didn't have a worthy set with me.
