I am doing research into opening an indoor off road track in the Augusta area with a hobby shop. I am looking for some numbers, contacts, and types of cars being run. I would like to have a facility capable of doing regional, and national races.

I feel sure if you build a facility big enough to have regional and / or nationals indoors that you shouldn't have a problem getting racers to attend, I feel sure that I could talk a large group from the low country to make the trip.:D

People will flock from all over the southeast to run an indoor track, especially with summer creeping up on us.

I run 1/8 nitro buggy, 1/8 truggy, and 1/10 SCT. (and 2wd 1/10 gas truck)

By the way, you stole my idea!!! Well the indoor track anyway, Dave at Hobbytown has looked out for me over the years and I plan to continue supporting him. But having a shop at the track is a great idea for race weekends.

Good luck with all this I'll definitely be watching your progress. You have an idea where you're going to put the track?

There is a new indoor track that opened up in Mississippi that runs both 1/8 and 1/10 scale. You can look at the pics on it and thats about the size track you would need. You build it they will come.
