ill do my best to spread the word. ill get with all of those guys from the pit and surrounding areas and get them on here. bradly has been busy with school. ill see if i can get him going when things get settled down. i think he mentioned starting in like late may, but dont take my word on that.

Sup Shannon...Hate that I missed the CWC, homie. I saw the chance of rain and backed out at the last minute. With my rc budget shrinking :p, gotta make the out of town races count! Going to try to make the Spring Sting in Myrtle Beach, but that is a tough time of year for my wife (she works in Accounting).

I'll have to get back to you on the money race at the Pit...Usually Bradley runs two a year, but he's got a pretty busy year. Finishing school and getting hitched!! Odds are they will be one this Fall, but he will have to confirm it...

Are you running the GCS races? I was looking at trying to make the Dalton race....Even though you are hard to beat up there :D

Ummm, I was on your tail in qualifying, but not when it really mattered :rolleyes: Was just trying to stay out of the way in the main...Should have listened to you on tires. Guys like you are fun to race with Shannon. TQ is lucky to have you...

I have been following the GCS schedule. I think, the first race is the same date as the Bama Jama race down here in Newton. So I'm out for that one...I think Dalton will work though..

i got some good running on my p5xlt at savannah enough to know they are super good mtrs .....got really good runtime and all the power you could ever need ...saving my +4c for pnb ...seen blake boggs gettin 11+ minutes on his and it wasnt even brooke all the way in :football:

not necessarily ...you run a little richer actually when its cold ...a little leaner when its hotter ..all in how you tune your motor and clutch and stuff..i know boggs never temped over 208 on his plus 4 (not tuning to temp) just what the temp was ..and he was getting 11:18 of runtime with a 9901 pipe and 41021 smoothflow header //i was getting 9:36 with my p5xlt with a 9853 with the same header ..just a different type motor a little bit more power on the p5xlt inmho alot of it has to do with pipe and glow plug :firehead:

Ok guys I'm thinking about having a work day on a Friday eavning.

I'm thinking either Feb. 27th or March 5th.

Which one would work better for you guys? If Friday isn't good we can do a Sat. I was just trying to give SCRC some time to do work as well because we have a lot of the same helpers...lol! And a big thank you to all those!;)

Not much work is needed just some jumps need to be refaced and raked down and some dirt filled into the woop section.

It mainly just needs some cars ran on it to knock the sand off of the surface. What ya say? We can make it a work/test and tune day!:)

We need to have an SOGFRE test day with my dad's equipment but Feb 27 I'm speaking at a youth retreat and March 5 we'll be at the PNB. The next weekend would work for us, but that's getting far out there and I don't know how much good 5 CORR truck would do at just knocking off the sand. Might need a host of truggies and buggies for that.

and you know that its not the same as when we all went the first year ..the schedule shouldnt be any worse than a long local event ...the quals start at 5pm friday and should end around 1am then go sleep and then the other 2 rounds of quals at 8 am saturday ..they said shold run till 9 saturday night ..phlip said the pit is awesome just needs to be run in ....hope you can make it ..and yeh that lathunder race kinda got me ready for more:firehead:

Guys I spent much of my day at the pit running some laps with my truggy and slash to get a feel mainly of the extra classes i'll be running this year, and i have to say for those guys to have not touched the track since the last race there, it has held up amazingly, maybe a few jumps could use refacing and the sand blown off but man i looks good, hope to see everyone there in two weeks, should be there if full force hoping to start the year right, have a good one guys.

What I plan is to setup my tent and trailer, display my trucks, and talk a lot about the sport we love, maybe Jared will fire up the Losi to attract a crowd.

Racers: If you want to participate, please bring your buggies/trucks and a chair. I will only have a 12 x 12 booth to display our wares.

I will have SOGFRE flyers to hand out plus AMS 2010 flyers (if it's ok Alan?).

I will have PCs setup running racing videos.

I would like track flyers from the tracks that have agreed to having rental races, so TRACK OWNERS:

please send me any old flyers you have that I can modify (word doc or whatever you have) or just send me your logo and I'll make a simple flyer advertising your schedule for 2010.

guys i know the weather this week looks scary for racing but i spoke briefly with bradley over the weekend about it, and he said that no matter what happens through the week as long as they get no rain friday or saturday they shoot be running. Need i remind you that the latest layout was designed for one thing in mind and that was water drainage, so bradley can reiterate this and follow up with more up to date news later on in the week just wanted to put this out there for any worries that any may have.

There were deffinately some fast guys there and I had really hoped to make the A-main in Truggy but just didn't work out. I had the bump spot wrapped up until I snuffed it on the pipe and Greg Smith got around me for the bump but hey I had a great time racing and hanging out with everybody!

Big thanks to Brian Paschal, Brett Paschal, Phillip Cook and Chris Matherson for all the pit help this weekend! It was really fun hanging out with you guys!

What, if any, electric classes are running there, any shortcourse 2wd or 4wd, 1/10 2wd stuff? Would like to come race there if there is anyone to run against.

There are usually 10 or 12 2wd corr truck racing on a givin weekend. Not sure how many will be getting one of the new 4wd but dont worry about not getting to race! If you bring it you can run it! That's our motto!

There are usually a couple of local guys that are pretty tuff with a 10th scale!

But come on down and race with us we would love to have ya down!

We had about 15 SCTs at SC last week, and I'm sure most will be at the pit.

On a side note, look at my post in the Gathering Place called Sogfre, and come out on 4/10 to display your cars in Pinson.

I have been really busy lately with finishing up school and remodeling my house.:confused:

hey guys, not this weekend but next is a memorial race in Jackson Ms, for a fallen friend and racer. His name was Leighton Dilliard and his last race with us was at the PNB while racing the pro buggy class with the people he looked up to in the industry.

This event is to help raise money for his family and help get them in a better situation.

Track seekers is the track name and Leighton was one of the pioneers of that track. If it all possible lets try to get atleast a few of us over there.

I know things are tight and we just had a large event, but one day it could be one of us pass, and leave a family in a bad situation. During times like that is when your friends, family, peers, etc step up and help. See what you can do and if you need info email me at alanburton20@gmail.com

Race this weekend canceled guys!

What we are probably going to do is cancel the next 3 or 4 races due to lack of turn-out and then pick back up with our schedule in september when it is cooler weather.

i just wanna say sorry for not being able to make many races this year especially at the pit ..ive been trying as hard as possible to get out there ...but with my new job and work schedule i can only race once a month ...i was planning on making my august race a race at the pit ..if yall are racing middle to end of august count me in ...i think we are in a lull right now with not alot of new faces ...dont feel bad though turnout has been low everywhere ..even the farm where the worlds was held is a pasture now ...i hope it picks up i gotta get my onve a month race fix :hamster:

Thats how i got into it with a good old traxxas sportmax and i know just about everyone racing now got into it from a local hobbyshop or because they had a friend they knew that raced :D

Thats is how most of us started, I:( started with a Traxxas Nitro 4-tec onroad car and have been
hooked ever since. But like many I am losing intrest. Think we need to get back to grass roots racing!

Track will be well groomed and ready for some great racing and hopefully the weather will be nice and cool!

I will be working on the track Friday eavning if anyone who would like to lend a hand...

Everyone is welcome to practice afterwards.

I will get back to everyone on a race time when I see what the temperature will be like!
