Well its been a while since anyone has raced at madmaxx ...i know that john has had some really tough things going on with family and stuff ....after talking with john about the track at madmaxx ...he is seriously considering opening the track back up for racing ...the idea was boxed around about going old school and tapping into some of the electricity that seems to be present at the local tracks...it seems that there is a number ever growing of people racing electric ...10th scale , corr trucks and 8th scale ....what would you think about a purpose built track made to handle the smaller scales ? corr trucks , 10th scale stadium trucks ....it seems to me there is alot of corr truck racing going on in florenece , huntsville , cullman , and guntersville ...i have even heard rumors of a rebirth of the borderwars points series that so many racers enjoyed years ago ....but this time its for shortcourse ....hopefully if things go well john is going to design this track and will get started on it in the winter ....he is hoping to draw peps from up north alabama and also from the georgia area as there is a huge contingent of racers there who love the corr class ....with some luck we will have a very nice well mantained shortcourse track for all to race at ...the track will be high bite in places loose in places ..with banked turns and elevation changes ..no jumps to big to be able seriously damage your cars ...but also jumps that the 4x4 corr trucks can air it out ...a design that allow to run in the opposite direction to mix things up and throw a change in there .....cant wait to see what john comes up with ....:D

Excellent idea, and John is making plans for sure. I got the tractor, and he has the dirt.

It's the closest track to my house no doubt, and I will love it on many levels.

well this is some awesome news! i have been itching to get the slash out (even bought the GF one.) but never had a place to run it and the new track was just HUGE and not to usefull for the corr trucks.

if yall need any help or anything i will be glad to chip in any way possible. i will 100% be at a few races if there is a new track more corr friendly!!

So, this track is going to be electric only: Corr, Stadium, 1/8 electric buggy and truggy or Corr only?

for the most part yes ...john has always had a cut off time there because of the noise ordinance ....we think that providing a purpuse built track for 10th scael corr and 8th scale electric will be a premium for all of the racers that are running electric .....i know you dont travel alot but we are hoping you will come to an environment that is compasetic to the electric racer ....i am hoping that we can get another borderwars series going ... i know willie has mention a corr truck series ...the other really great thing is ...the track will not be so brutal on your stuff ...hoping to even run some 10th scale buggy as well .....the only way it wil work is with the suppoort of racers like yourself and others up in the northern part of the state ....and also some people from georgia .....john has always been a great track builder ...back to his original track 6 years ago ....

I got a corr truck now and maybe a T4 to trade for. I have some old electric stuff I could race (B2 and T2) also for a vintage class.
